Referee Structure

ref5
  • In the future, Level 1 and Level 2 referees will officiate at a national level in their native language. If Level 2 referees are interested in officiating in other countries, they must join an EPF course to become a Certified Referee. An EPF Certified Referee must demonstrate fluency in English and be able to correctly use all official scripts in that language.
  • EPF and USAP will support European countries in establishing their referee programs, by offering translated copyrighted USAP referee content. The different national associations/federations will deliver a standard USAP-based program.
  • EPF is currently offering level 1 and level 2 courses until such countries have developed national referee programs.
  • Optional accreditations offered by EPF include courses for referee trainers and assessors.
  • Every single course follows the USAP standards.
