EPF REFEREE LEVEL 2 COURSE

Participants will have the opportunity to reach an EPF Level 2 Referee credential (equivalent to USAP Level 2 Referee credential).
This program results from a collaboration between EPF (European Pickleball Federation) and USAP (USA Pickleball). We are thrilled to continue this initiative in Europe, with GAIL SCAVONGELLI and her USAP team.
This event is open to all European pickleball fans who are eager to take the challenge on becoming the most competent pickleball referees. To be successful you will need to know the rules beforehand and be able to enforce them while officiating on court. This will include many hours of study and learning to meet the online tests and self-initiated practice at local clubs or tournaments to help put theory into practice.
WHO IS GAIL?
Gail Scavongelli is responsible for USA Pickleball’s referee training program. She is one of 8 USA Pickleball Certified Referee Evaluators. She is one of the 3 members of USAP’s National Officiating Committee.
Gail is USAP’s Leader of Officiating for the Eastern Section of the United States. In this role, Gail is responsible for the training, development, and mentoring of Level 1, Level 2, and Certified Referees in the 5 regions associated with the Eastern Section of the US.
Gail has served for 8 years as the Head Referee and Referee Coordinator for the US OPEN. She has refereed thousands of amateur and pro matches across the US. She was also the Head Referee at the EPC 2025 in Rome, Italy.
