Growing and Supporting Pickleball in Europe
This program results from a collaboration between EPF (European Pickleball Federation) and USAP (USA Pickleball) and is open to all European pickleball fans who are eager to take the challenge of becoming the most competent pickleball referees. We are thrilled to continue this initiative in Europe, with GAIL SCAVONGELLI and her USAP team.

Requirements:
Gail Scavongelli is responsible for USA Pickleball’s referee training program. She is one of 8 USA Pickleball Certified Referee Evaluators and one of the 3 members of USAP’s National Officiating Committee.
Gail is USAP’s Leader of Officiating for the Eastern Section of the United States. In this role, Gail is responsible for the training, development, and mentoring of Level 1, Level 2, and Certified Referees in the 5 regions associated with the Eastern Section of the US.
Gail has served for 8 years as the Head Referee and Referee Coordinator for the US OPEN. She has refereed thousands of amateur and pro matches across the US. Gail was also the Head Referee at the EPC 2025 in Rome, Italy.
The event will take place at Plechovka, in Prague. This modern indoor venue includes a small cafe. A few other restaurants are located close by. Water and fruit will be provided, but lunch and other meals will be at the participant's own expense.
The event will take place at the Istanbul Technical University. By September, this venue will have several new outdoor pickleball courts and a possibility for indoor adapted courts in case of rain. Water and fruit will be provided, but lunch and other meals will be at the participant's own expense. The campus includes several dining halls and cafes.
